Dr. Sharon Packer, Psychiatrist and Movie Critic Extraordinaire, has reviewed Thor in her online column at http://www.hcplive.com/pop-medicine/Thor-From-Myth-to-Marvel-Comics-to-Movies-to-Medical-Commentary. Dr. Packer likes many aspects of the film but feels that it gives short shrift to the "true" comic book origins of the main character who is simultaneously a physically challenged but brilliant young surgeon Dr. Blake and the might Norse god Thor.  Packer gives us some insight into the often discussed "God complex" which the public has attributed to some physicians.
